The Gate Inn is a family-friendly operation that welcomes a diverse range of year-round custom including locals and farmers from Chislet and the surrounding villages, transient dining custom, walkers and cyclists exploring the area and visitors from nearby Nethergong Campsite looking for a drink or bite to eat.
The pub currently trades from Wednesday to Monday from noon onwards, providing daily lunch service from 12.00 noon until 2 pm and dinner service from 6.30 pm until 8.30 pm, the menu is packed full of classic British pub dishes that are made from scratch.
Burger nights, themed food evenings, weekly family events with a bouncy castle, and other seasonal events also keep the customers popping by.
The landlords are now looking for new operators to take over the business in mid-April 2025,
