Trading style
Currently a wet only operation, with pub sports high on the agenda, the Nailbox trades seven days a week, from late afternoon until close Monday to Friday and from noon onwards at weekends. There is always something going on to keep the regulars popping by for a pint and chat, together with the league-level pool teams playing on Mondays, darts games taking place on Wednesday and Friday evenings, and crib on a Thursday. Sundays are often a hit as the Nailbox sponsors the ‘Radnor Park Rovers’ Football team, so they often visit the pub to watch sport on the three TV screens and take part in the Football card draw.
The Nailbox is now looking for new, hands-on operators to take over the running of the site, and there is potential for the introduction of a trade kitchen for the right applicants.
