Property details
The Black Lion is a traditional Welsh village pub located in the picturesque village of Llanfair Talhaiarn, near Abergele overlooking the river Elwy, yet only 6 miles from the main A55 trunk road through North Wales.
Pulling into the car park at the Black Lion, it is hard not to be in awe of your surroundings. Set close to the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and by the banks of the Afon Elwy (River Elwy) the Black Lion is a large community pub. There is a large bar, which is stocked full of cask ales and kegged beers, as well as a good selection of wines and spirits. The pub itself is largely open plan with seats for around 90 people. The feel of the pub is of a traditional Welsh country pub; warming and welcoming. There are open fires throughout, as well as cosy corners to sit in. To the rear of the pub, there is an additional function room/dining room that can seat around 20 people - the perfect area to hold meetings, functions, or family gatherings. The kitchen is of a good size with the usual equipment.
On the first floor, there are five en-suite letting bedrooms. Three of the rooms can be either king-size or twin beds, the other two are doubles.
There is a great outside seating area that sits on the riverbank, the perfect place to take in the scenery.
The private accommodation consists of 2 bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen, and a bathroom. One of the letting bedrooms could be incorporated into the domestic accommodation if needed as there is direct access from this area.
